Welcome Back!
Well, the summer is winding down, the temps are cooling off a little and the yellow vehicles clog the road again. Back to school sales seem to start earlier each year. We were still in the middle of summer school when I noticed the first of the ads running on television. I used to look forward to school because it meant clean, new notebooks, a new backpack, fresh pencils and other supplies. Of course, in the last few weeks of summer, I always rethought that excitement and while it meant a new class or perhaps new friends, it also meant I was almost out of free time and back to a routine of schoolwork and early alarm clocks. Still, I squeezed all I could out of those last few weeks and had as much fun as I could.
I saw many of you during summer school, but some I did not. Tell me (and all the other readers) about your summer time fun! What did you do this summer after summer school ended. If you thought summer school was fun, tell us what your favorite parts were and why? Personally, I liked the bowling and movies (I never got to the pool) and also had fun looking through the reading program materials you all used. I know some of you loved the kickball games. If you didn't join us for the great time most of us had, tell us about what you DID instead this summer.

I went to Florida with my friends and we went to Disney Land. We went on A tall, tall slide that had a pool at the end of the slide. When I was sliding down I flew on the adult side and almost died. I had to swim back to the other side fast or I would have died.

My summer was fun and crazed after summer school .I went to parties and i went to my grandmothers house and went shopping.with my friends and the movies. i wish summer was still here so i can have more fun.

I had a lot of fun playing kickball even if we lost. I like what we did on the last day of summer school.The first day i went bowling. I bowled a strike. I got to dive off the diving board. I played basketball in my class room. We had a slam dunk contest and 3point contest. I dunked over JamM. I saw kids flipping off the diving board. I once i saw Mr .J play guitar hero with Briu. Mr. J won.

On my summer vacation I went to Puerto Rico. I jumped off a waterfall at El Juncal. I also jumped off a bridge into the water. (Note PR ocean water is mad salty) I went snorkeling, the water was so clear I took a picture of my sister and mom in it and it looks like they where in a pool. I hiked up El Juncal Mountain. I swam at the beach, and on my free time I played on my XBOX 360, and before we left I went to visit my dad’s relatives, his brother and two sisters. Then I went home and back to work.

Next summer I hope I will I love kickball because I can be with my friends and teacher Mr. Joyner all day long. I be on a better team. I loved the swimming pool because I was with my boy friend and Samantha. I love chilling with my friends at the pool, the movies, the park, and bowling. Summer School was a lot of fun. I would love to come back next year.

This summer I went outside a lot. I went shopping for clothes. I bought some shirts, jeans and some shoes. I played video games with my friends. My favorite game right now is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
I had a job for part of the summer working at a scrap yard. I had a fight with my cousin, but now we’re talking again. I went to my family’s house. It is in Florida. We spent a lot of time at the beach. I hung out at a diner with a friend a couple of times. Overall, I had a good summer.

This summer I went to summer school. At summer school, I played kickball, went bowling and went to the pool. The last time we went bowling I got some strikes. At the pool, I got lessons on how to be a better swimmer.
I won the prize because I had the most points in the technology contest. I won a Toys r us gift card and a glider. After summer school I was playing my brother Nintendo 64, watching TV and went fishing.

I went to summer school at the Lorge School. In summer school we played kickball. I was on the Red Devils team. We played every Friday. We also went to the pool. I liked going swimming. We also went bowling. Bowling is fun. It was my favorite thing to do.
I spent some time with my Mom. We talked and went to Coney Island at night. I also saw my brother. We went to the park with my sister and played. We played tag and went on the slides.
I watched some tv this summer. My favorite show is Dragon Ball Z KAI. I also like watching shows on the Food Network. I groomed my dog Rocky. He is a black and brown dog.

During the summer I played video games. 2K9 was my favorite game this summer. It is a basketball game. I watched a lot of soccer games in the park. I went to a bbq and ate a lot of food. I played basketball all summer long. I just started school on Monday So far, so good. it’s nice to be back.

This summer I played Halo 3. I beat the grunts. I also beat the arbiter. I beat the game. It took me three days to complete the whole game. I liked Halo 3 better than the other Halo games. I played Left 4 Dead. I defeated the tank, the strongest zombie in the game. I made lobby games for my friends. I played as infected for 4 hours. I played as a spitter, tank, and hunter. I played Halo 1. It took me a week to beat it.
I went to summer school. My favorite thing was swimming and going to the movies once a week. I was on the Red Devils kickball team. They were the worst team in the league. I didn’t like playing kickball. I liked bowling as well.

I spent my summer in summer school. My teacher during the summer was Mr. Joyner. We went a lot of places together. Mr. Joyner took me to the movies. My favorite movie was “Disaster Movie”. “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” was no good. Mr. Joyner took us bowling. We bought food there. I scored a strike. Mr. Joyner took us swimming. Mr. Joyner did a back flip. He broke his nose.

Summer school was fun. When I went bowling I wore special shoes. We went to the movies. We did work in computers. I remember we worked on a movie called Milk. I took a lot of trips. I went to the park to see a friend. I went to the gym to do gymnastics. I went to Central Park Zoo to see Animals. I think I liked the snakes the best. I played football with friends. I visited my grandma. I went swimming in the pool. I had a great summer!

This summer I went a lot of places. We had a lot of fun at summer school. While I was there we went to the pool on Mondays. Every Tuesday we went to the bowling alley. Then Fridays we played kickball. There was even a carnival! I also visited Florida. While I was there I went on a scary roller coaster. We all got stuck. I also went swimming and to the zoo there. I spent some time downtown in NYC too. I went shopping with my mom. I ate tacos with sour cream. I went on the monkey bars at the park.

This summer I went to Summer school. I went bowling. It was fun. When I went bowling, I wore special shoes. It was FREE! We also went to the movies. The movie theater is a good one because it is close to my house. My favorite movie was “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs”. We also got snacks every time we went to the movies. We went swimming at a pool. It was great because I was learning how to swim.it was a lot of fun.

I had a lot of fun this summer. I played I basketball. I was making two pointers and three pointers. I tricked my big brother and little brother. I did tricks with the ball then I made a shot. We did things in summer school too. We went to the pool every Monday. Kickball happened on Fridays. We also went bowling together. I got strikes and Mr. Diamond gave me Skittles and M&Ms for it.

I went to summer school this year. In summer school I went swimming, and bowling. My favorite movie was Astroboy. I went to see my aunt in the Bronx. I played with my dogs. I went shopping. I got a hair cut too. I also played games. I played the ps2. My favorite game is Crash Bandicot. My least favorite game is Samurai. I really liked Carnival day at school.

I had a lot of fun this summer. I played a lot of video games. In “The Suffering” you beat up a lot of monsters. In “Pokémon” you have to save dark Pokémon. In “Naruto” you fight because people are being turned into monsters. I went outside a lot. I liked to go to the park. I also liked riding my bike. Running in the park was fun. I watched a lot of TV this summer. “Family Guy” had a lot of funny videos. “Robot Chicken” had crazy videos. “Naruto” had a lot of action. This summer was busy!

I played outside. I rode a red scooter. I went to visit my cousin’s school. I Drove in my Uncle’s car. I went to visit my Grandmother and my Aunt. They were happy to see me. She bought me ice cream and chips. I also went to the pool. I went on the shallow side and went under the water. I like to swim. I had a good summer.

This year I went to summer school. I went bowling and got lots of strikes. I also went swimming and played with my friends. Me and my class went to the movies. My favorite was Monsters vs. Aliens. My least favorite was Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.
I went on vacation to the Jersey Shore. My family went to the Land of Make Believe and Kingsberg Amusement Park. I slept over with my cousin in the Bronx. I played baseball in the park with my cousin too. I played video games like The Last Airbender and
Dragonball Z.

I did a lot of fun things this summer. I went to summer school. At the end of the summer session, we had a carnival. On carnival day the whole school had pizza. My grandmother and grandfather had pizza too. I went to my grandma’s house and my dad’s house and summer school. I went shopping with my grandmother. I played car games on my x box 360. I also played computer games and went on aim and facebook.

I went to Delaware and I went rock climbing and Played the ps3 on the Trailer. I played Football. I Went to the park, bike riding, roller skating and rode my skateboard.

This summer I had fun. It was awesome because I went bowling. When we went bowling, I won. We also played kickball. I was on the Kick, Inc., Team. We also went to the movies. My favorite was Aliens in the Attic. Another thing that was good about the movies is that they sell popcorn. I like to eat popcorn. The last day we had a carnival. I liked the carnival. I liked everything about it, especially face painting, basketball and the dancing.
